Club/County GAA Development Draw

For several years now, the clubs major fund raiser has been this draw and we would like to thank everyone for their support. The tickets are €50 each which, we appreciate is not insignificant, however there are 3 draws which take place at the end of May, June and July, with a first prize of €10,000, Second Prize:€5000, Third Prize: €2500, Fourth Prize: €1500, Fifth Prize: €1000 and Sixth to Twelfth Prizes of €150 each. Last year we were lucky enough to have a €10,000 winner and a €5,000 winner along with several smaller prize winners to the chances of coming out of the hat are relatively good. As we said, this is the Clubs major fundraiser and we would like you to continue supporting us this year.

La Na gClub

The 8th May is GAA La na gClub day. We would like to estend an open invitations to all players, supporters and people of the locality to come up to the club and have a casual day of fun and conversation. We plan to start at 12.00 with a walk around the Green Lane, then back to the Club House for some refreshments. Some of our young teams will play Blitz Matches, there will be a penalty shoot out competition and a barbeque to finish the day off. We would like to see as many people as possible come up and have a bit of fun. The club is run by people in the community for the community. Everyone is welcome.

U10 Girls

The U10 girls played Rathcoffey of Kildare away on Saturday and put in what can only be described as an excellent performance. Well done to Brian and has coaches for organizing this event

U12 Boys

The U12 boys had a busy week, first taking on Bray in Division A of the Mini Leauge, in a match which they had a very good win. Then on Saturday afternoon, they traveled to the National Development Centre to play in an inter county blitz. They were pitted against some very strong Division 1 teams from Meath and Kildare (Ratoath, Balynea and Raheens) and acquitted themselves excellently on the day. Thank you to all of the parents who traveled up to Dublin for the day, which was very enjoyable.

U12 Girls

The U12 Girls had a challenge match v Edenderry GAA. This was a great attacking performance which ended in a draw. Well done and thank you to Edenderry GAA for hosting and providing much needed hot drinks for everyone on which was a bitterly cold night.

U13  Boys

Our U13 boys also traveled to the National Development Centre to play an Inter county Blitz. They played Rathoath of Meath and Raheens of Kildare

Darkness into Night in aid of Pieta House.

Please note that Darkeness into light takes place on Saturday, 7th  at 4.00am in the town. We would like as many club members as possible to show their support for this great cause.

The Seniors continued their unbeaten run in the league with a 4 point win over Donard at home. Donard struck early with 2 goals and opened up a lead which was not easy for Baltinglass to overhaul. However, overhaul it they did, and looked to be romping home midway through the second half, when Donard mounted a strong challenge which brought the sides level. Baltinglass managed to find another gear and finish the game victorious in a match that could have gone either way. Final Score. Donard, 2.10 Baltinglass 3.11.

U14 County

Congratulations to Katelyn Coffey Brennan and Kuburat Matomni who represented Wicklow U14 ladies on Saturday aw they took on Carlow in their Leinster Shield Final at Newbridge. Wicklow won the match on a scoreline of 1.12 to 0.05. Well done girls.
