Well done to the U14 boys who are county champions for the second year in a row. After a great win over Tinahely on Sunday. The teams were level at half time in what was a very tight game up to that point. However in the second half Balto took a grip on the game. Jack Hanlon led the charge and found the net, leaving the socre at 2.07 to 1.06 midway through the second half another goal from a very impressive Adam Martin put real daylight between the teams. Tom Keogh found the net again for Baltinglass, who with 5 minutes to go were 4.08 to 1.06 ahead. It was a lead that they were never going to relinquish and the final score was Baltinglass 4.09 to 1.08. This was a great win for the lads who deserve great praise, having had to be at the top of their game to get past St. Nicholas and Eire Og in earlier matches. Well done to Hugh Kenny and his team of coaches on a job very well done

Minor Girls

Well done to the Minor Girls who had a great win in the final of the B championship on Sunday with a very impressive win over St. Nicholas. Well done to The management team and the girls. Chloe O’Neill proved to be a great captain on the day.

As the dust settles on the Baltinglass Broadway challenge, we would like to say thank you to all of you who supported us in any way, whether by donating time or money into the event. The night was a huge success and it was great to see a small community such as ours, being able to pack a venue like Mount Wolsley. What was equally impressive was that everyone, be they contestants or spectators appeared to have a smile on their face, and to have enjoyed the night thoroughly. If you wish to re-live the magic of Broadway, there will be a get together in Germaines on Friday, 11th to show a video of the night and so that the Our House team can explain how they in fact managed to pull off the win, despite the fact that their singing, dancing and appearance could easily be called into question. All in all, the night was fun filled and we look forward to those of you who enjoyed the night coming out to support us again, should we organise similar events in the future. Well done to all
