Our U 14 Girls had a great win in a challenge match against Tinryland last Friday night. The girls have been back training since February, and their commitment and improved skills is starting to pay off. Fantastic team spirit is being shown by these girls. They are in the Feile Qualifiers on Saturday the 1st of April and we would like to wish them the very best.  

 

Senior Men Well done to the Senior Men on a great performance on Friday night against Bray Emmets in the league. We were victorious on a scoreline of 3-15 to 0-7 with goals from Pat Burke, Jason Kennedy and Sean O Brien.  

 

Membership Notice

Friday the 31st of March is the last day for male membership. Aoife will be in the club from 6-9pm. Any male who has not paid membership will not be allowed to play after the 31st of March until payment is made. It's very important this year to make sure you give Aoife the money and receive your booklet for all the information and rules. 

 

Dinner Dance – Our Dinner Dance was on Saturday night and it was a fantastic night from start to finish. Presentations were made to Julia O Neill for all her hard work over the past 40 or so years providing us with tea and sandwiches whenever she was called upon, Anne Whelan who has been our treasurer and an integral part to the club over the past 25 years, Damien Patterson for his years of service as Chairman of the Ladies and Paudge Doody for his years of service as Juvenile Chairman. 

Presentations were also made to the Senior Team, Player of the Year was Billy Cullen, Most Committed Player of the year was given to Declan Jones, Young Player of the Year was Pat Burke and Players Player of the Year was Ian Sheerin. A big thank you to all involved in organizing and to those who came along, our MC Killian Whelan and our band Déjà vu. A thoroughly great night was had by all.  

 

Walking group – Our Walking group have been a massive success as part of our Healthy Club initiative. Walk will take place every Monday from 8pm and we will have a 3Km or 5.5Km option. No charge the club would appreciate a small donation or the purchase of a €2 Lotto ticket. Tea/Coffee afterwards in the clubhouse. We have a limited number of Hi Vis armbands so please bring a Hi Vis if you have one. All welcome, looking forward to seeing you all – even the dogs!  


Cúl Camps

2017 Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camp will take place in Baltinglass from the 3rd to 7th July. Online booking is now open the Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camp Website. There will not be registration on the day this year as all bookings have to be made online.  

 

Our very own Charlie Byrne (U12 Captain last year) represented Ireland this weekend in the CP Soccer tournament. The tournament was held in South Dublin Football League (SDFL) Headquarter. Unfortunately they lost out but a massive congratulations to Charlie on winning player of the tournament as voted by FAI Officials at the tournament. We are all very proud of you, such a talented and committed young man!
